Developed by LGIS' experts these new resources address common issues for local government workers. There are over ten resources scheduled to be released in 2024, with the first five addressing:

  • Exercise and personal fitness
  • Hydration
  • Noise management
  • Being sun smart
  • Manual task awareness

These resources include an A4 information sheet which can be used for discussion and A3 posters which can be rotated as you focus on a different topic.

All of the Safety & Wellbeing Toolbox resources can be downloaded from the website under Risk management > People risk management > People risk resources.

Safer workplaces with regular safety talks

Effective consultation is a key tool to improve awareness of risks and improve overall safety. Regular safety meetings are a tool used by many local governments to help meet regulatory requirements to consult and inform employees on work, health and safety issues.

For more information about the new Safety & Wellbeing Toolbox resources talk to the LGIS injury prevention or people risk team, or your regional risk coordinator.
